His favorite service to provide is color treatment. As a blonde expert, he specializes in color transformations that leave clients feeling like a new person.

We’re back with another Creator Spotlight! This time, we interviewed Mairet Bustillos, who is a certified esthetician practicing in Florida, and her passion for her profession is truly inspiring.

She moved to the United States four years ago and has since trained with many industry professionals to learn and improve her skills. However, Mairet mentioned that she worked in beauty salons in her native country from a very young age.

When we asked what inspired her to enter into the beauty industry, she said her vocation has always been related to beauty.

“The desire to change self-esteem,” she said. “To make others feel beautiful with their own physical aspects, transforming them into a better version of themselves, to see their happy faces— That is my greatest motivation.”

Now that Mairet is settled as a certified esthetician in the sunny state of Florida, she says the one beauty product she couldn’t live without is “definitely sunscreen,” and we couldn’t agree more.

While eyebrows are her specialty, she also loves eyelash lifting and facials. “Without a doubt, eyebrow lamination with or without tint is one of my favorites,” she said.

Mairet mentioned that her greatest challenge in this profession is working to change the minds of her clients so that they feel confident in how they look to positively influence their day to day lives.

She loves being able to pursue her passion for beauty while also making new friends and beautifying her clients. The best part about running her own business, she says, is generating her own income on her own schedule and working independently at the same time.

Mairet’s ideal work environment is “a cozy and quiet space for my clients to feel comfortable,” which is how she ended up at My Creative Studios.

As with many small business owners, Mairet believes that social media is a great way to grow a business. Instagram is one of her personal favorite platforms, and she uses it to showcase her work and advertise her business.

Finally, we asked Mairet what advice she would give to someone starting a career in the beauty industry. She said, “Do not be afraid to undertake challenges and trust in yourself.” Very wise words from an experienced esthetician!

Another talented artist in the books! This time around, we interviewed professional tattoo artist Isaias Rosario to get a feel for how he got into the industry.

Isaias says that artistic blood runs in his family, so it’s no surprise that he likes to dabble in different creative fields like singing and drawing. As he grew older, he began working in the makeup industry. But, during his 18-year career in makeup, Isaias was drawing on the side. His friends told him that he was incredibly talented and should consider pursuing tattoo artistry.

While he was very successful in his career of selling makeup, he always knew that he had a passion for art. So, when he decided to experiment with tattooing, he instantly knew that it was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.

“It was very easy for me to adapt to this new stage of my life,” he said.

The first tattoo Isaias ever made was on himself, and the design was Link’s shield from The Legend of Zelda. Once he received training and graduated from the Florida Tattoo Academy in Orlando, he officially began his career as a professional tattoo artist.

When asked to describe his artistic style, Isaias said he does a little bit of everything. He doesn’t want his work to be boxed into one when there are so many beautiful styles to explore.

“If I had to describe my work,” Isais said, “I would say that what best describes me as an artist is how beautiful and clean my lines are. I think that is what clients look for in an artist, the sharp lines.”

And, because he is such a big Harry Potter fan, his favorite tattoo he has given so far was a piece that depicted the character Hermione.

The biggest challenge Isaias has encountered in the tattoo industry is adapting to each tattoo style. Also, it can be difficult to transmit all of the ideas that a client has in mind onto their skin.

Having the right environment to concentrate in is very important for artists. Isaias said that his ideal environment to work in is the one in which he works now at My Creative Studios.

“I am my own boss with my own rules and schedule,” he said.

According to Isaias, there is a lot of demand in this industry right now. His advice to someone who is considering entering into the industry is to follow their passion.

“If they are passionate about tattoos, then they should take the risk,” Isaias said.

Since we are celebrating National Hairstylist Appreciation Day this month, we thought it would be fitting to highlight one of My Creative Studios’ talented barbers. Eduardo Cruz has been a professional barber since 2007, and his passion for the art is still burning strong.

Eduardo was inspired to be a barber when he saw that his talent could instantly improve the moods of his customers. He noticed that a simple cut could put a smile on someone’s face.

“That inspires me every day to continue doing this beautiful profession,” Eduardo said.

Although he completed his barber certifications in 2007, he is still learning something different every day in this industry. When asked about his favorite service to give to clients, he said it’s not just a cut or a beard trim. He strives to provide quality service to his clients no matter what he is doing.

Eduardo’s specialty is attention to detail and excellent customer service. He wants to make sure all of his clients are comfortable during the appointment and are happy with their results. Currently, he is most fond of full service trends in men’s grooming that involve haircuts and beard trims.

However, he finds that the most challenging aspect of his job is trying to understand what the client wants when they come into his shop. Once he figures out exactly what the client needs, he gets straight to work and ensures they are satisfied with the service.

His ideal work environment is one where you feel at peace as soon as you walk in the door. His ultimate goal is to make the appointment as enjoyable as possible for his clients. Eduardo also wants his environment to complement his work, which is why he loves his salon suite at My Creative Studios. He works hard to keep a welcoming culture at his business.

Finally, when we asked Eduardo what advice he would give to someone starting in this industry as a professional barber, his response reflected his devotion to his craft.

“Don’t do it for the money. Do it for the passion you have for this art,” said Eduardo.

He says because you are providing a service, there will always be money coming in, but if you do it with passion, you will be very proud of what you can achieve. Wise words from someone who has been in this industry for many years!
